As protocols continue to be followed and restrictions slowly lifted, Waterside – A V!VA Retirement Community – held themed days every Tuesday to get a little creative and fun! Western Day prompted everyone to dress up in plaid starting off the spirit days. Take-Me-Out-To-The-Ball-Game Day was next with almost everyone in their best Toronto Blue Jay’s gear – except for Community Director Alison who turned up with a New York Yankees hat on (whoops!). Team Member Lily pushed the snack cart down the halls of the Community, calling out “Peanuts, get your Peanuts” while also offering Root beer and freshly popped popcorn. Other themed days included British Pub Day and National Pink Shirt Day in support of Anti-Bullying. Summer officially began on Saturday, June 20th with some delicious refreshments offered in Paddles Pub. Right on its tail was Father’s Day, Where Lifestyles offered Community Members a cold beer in honour of dads everywhere!
